I’m checking in with another update. First, I want to thank all of you who have been praying for my family. Your prayers, encouragement, and support have truly meant the world to me. God has been so faithful through it all, and I’m grateful for each of you who has stood with us in prayer.

Mom is doing very well! She’s using a cane now and is back to handling the day-to-day things around the house. She still gets sore when she overdoes it, and tires out easily, but she’s making great progress each week. Praise God for His healing touch.

He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds (Psalm 147:3).

I’m back at home now, but I’m still going over every other day for about 6–8 hours. She has some limitations and there are things she’s not able to take care of on her own yet. It definitely keeps me busy—especially with everything I’m trying to catch up on here at home. My husband has truly been a gift from God through all of this. He’s been so understanding and helpful–keeping up with the animals, the housework, and all the things that need to be done. But of course, there are still some things only I can do.

Our Heavenly Father has been strengthening me even when I’ve felt weak.

My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever” (Psalm 73:26).

I wanted to let you all know that I’ve also been working on Part 2 of the rapture series I started before Mom’s accident. I don’t have as much time to pour into it as I’d like, but I am working on it!

Thank you again for your continued prayers. They are felt. I’ll leave you with this reminder from Isaiah 40:31:

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Keep trusting in Him, whatever season you’re in. He is our healer, our strength, and our peace. And He’s our Father.

God bless you and your family,

Grace

This update was written on March 17th, but I never had a chance to post it. I’m sharing it now so you can see how far we’ve come—thank you for praying us through!

Hi, my brothers and sisters in Christ. For those who have prayed for my family, I want to thank you so much and give a quick update. It’s been difficult seeing Mom in so much pain and struggling through recovery. But, as I’ve always known about her she’s incredibly strong and determined to get back to where she was before the fall. With that kind of drive, I know she’ll do it.

She’s getting around now using a walker and should transition to a cane soon. She actually walked off without her walker the other day and didn’t even realize it! Definitely a good sign that it’s time for the next step.

I’ve been staying at her house, taking care of her and my dad, since he has health issues of his own and isn’t able to help. So I guess you could say it’s a two-for-one. Actually, make that a three-for-one because I’ve also been training their precious little puppy! Needless to say, I’ve been busy.

Please keep us in your prayers. I thank the Lord for giving me strength each day, even when it’s hard. I know God is at work in all of it.

And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not (Galatians 6:9).

I haven’t forgotten you or this website…or the journey I believe God called me to. I’ll be posting more lessons in the near future, as mom becomes more independent again.

Keep praying, and stay in The Word, always. God bless you and your family.

I don’t know how many of you stop by this little corner of the internet, but I honestly believe God guides those who need these words to find them. He’s the one who nudged me to start this blog, so I leave that part of it in His hands.

As you’ve probably noticed, I’m not the quickest writer. Every study and lesson I share is a labor of love, for our Heavenly Father and for those who visit this blog. Each one take a lot of time in prayer and scripture, seeking to honor God’s truth. But for a while, things have to slow down even more.

My 75-year-old mom recently took a fall and broke her hip. She’s had surgery for a total hip replacement, and now she’s facing a long road to recovery. It’s a journey where she’ll need extra care and support, and I’ll be there to help her through it.

God’s Word reminds us in James 5:14-15, Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up…

So, I’m turning to you, my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, with a humble request: Would you lift her up in prayer? Pray for her healing, her strength, and peace that only God can give.

In John 14:27, Jesus said: Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

That is the peace I’m praying over her–and over all of us who are walking through difficult seasons. May we rest in the peace that only Christ can provide.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. May God bless you and your family.
