From the Questions and Answers series

A reader asked a very honest and important question: Why should I trust you and these studies? Have you ever been afraid to teach for fear of getting it wrong and misleading others?

That is a fair question, one that every single person should ask and every teacher should be willing to answer.

You should not trust me or these studies blindly. As God’s children, our trust should never be placed in man. We trust our salvation to Him and His Word alone. These lessons are here to help you study on a deeper level and to encourage you, but you should always compare what you are taught (by anyone) with Scripture to make sure it is true. Our Heavenly Father instructs us to do this many times in His Word. We are to be like the Bereans. What did they do?

Acts 17:11
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

My promise to our Father and to my readers is to do the very best job I can and to handle His Word with the care it deserves. I will always do my homework and pray over anything I publish. My desire is to never mislead anyone, and I understand the weight of this responsibility. I take it very seriously.

Having said that, God knows none of us are perfect. No one knows it all except God Himself. So will I get everything correct one hundred percent of the time? That is my goal, but it is also up to each person to make sure what they are being taught lines up with Scripture. Never rely completely on any person. Rely on our Father.

I’ll leave you with this verse:

2 Timothy 2:15
Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth
