God invites you to spend time with Him
Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
What a beautiful promise from our Heavenly Father. As we draw near to God, He draws near to us.
In a world that constantly pulls our thoughts in different directions, it is easy to become distracted by everything competing for our attention. But the Lord calls us to “be still, and know that I am God.” (Psalm 46:10).
My prayer is that these devotions will encourage you to slow down for just a little while and rest in His holy presence. There is something precious about taking time out of our busy schedules to refocus our hearts on God.
It is in these moments that He speaks to us, strengthens our faith, and reminds us of His everlasting love. His Word applies to each of us in a deeply personal way. But to hear His voice more clearly, we have to quiet the world around us. And when we do, we find comfort in His promise that as we draw near to Him, He will draw near to us.
